DESCRIPTION/ITINERARY

Visit UNESCO-listed Malacca on a day trip from Kuala Lumpur. See where Malaysia began on the Straits of Malacca. Gaze upon the ruins of St. Paul’s Church (closed every Monday) and Red Square (Christ Church closed every Monday), the pink Dutch administrative buildings that now house the Malacca Museum and government offices. Enjoy authentic local food at lunch. Afterward, see the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, where 3 major doctrines of Chinese belief are worshiped under the same roof. Take a stroll along Malacca’s Jonker Street, which ends by the banks of the Malacca River. Learn about the Malay sultanate, Malacca’s rise as an important trading port and the Portuguese and Dutch influence from the early 16th century.

• Journey to Melaka from Kuala Lumpur city center (2 hours approx.)

• Visit A’Famosa Portuguese fortress and Porta De Santiago

• Passby Melaka Museums (kastam muzium, melaka muzium) and walk along Dutch/Red Square

• lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included)

• Stroll by the Melaka River (Free at own leisure)

• head back to Kuala Lumpur city for hotel drop off

• 18:00pm later drop off at the same locations where pick-ups occurred (depend to traffic condition)

• No eating or drinking is allowed inside the car/van/buses. Food can easily become messy, or someone might bump into you, having you spill your drink or squash your food, letting it fall to the floor.

• During major festivals, there will be road closures and traffic jams. The return journey can only be sent to the drop-off point closest to the hotel according to the road conditions that day. The specific location will be determined by the driver at that time. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

• Solo travelers are more than welcome too — just make your own way to the meeting point at Berjaya Times Square (Main Entrance).

• As this is a shared tour, please be patient in cases of unforeseen delays along the pick-up route.

• For pick up from out of coverage area, a surcharge at least RM50/car applied (surcharge rate and pick up time shall defined by pick up location), surcharge to be paid directly to the driver in cash
